"In the past, British bars were typically known for fine ales on tap and brisk banter; if food was served, it was a greasy, starchy afterthought. But as Britons' taste buds became more sophisticated, a demand grew for upscale "comfort food." In 1991, a new kind of pub opened in London. The Eagle, on Farringdon Road, in north London, drew crowds with its bold exhibition kitchen and fresh Mediterranean menu, and sparked the "gastropub" revolution."

 

Our Chef has selected a unique menu of European and North American food in the finest modern tradition of the British Gastro Pub.
